This iconic individual made history by joining Lewis and Clark on their journey across America. I would read this story to help students understand the years of the great frontier and pioneers. I also I had mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I liked it because the writing provided a great deal of information about the lives of Sacagawea and Lewis and Clark.
