Common Sense says

And with the coming of summer, comes all sorts of books that will really get us out of spring and into the mood for the new season! This book is a little bit different though. And I loved it! So get pumped! The first part of the post I have here today are some truly iconic quotes from this book. Besides having tons of great advice, this book also really hooked me on the idea of Ireland. In my mind, everything is so…green.

Thank you! When her family travels to Ireland for a wedding, Addie plans a side trip to Italy, intent on visiting her best friend who moved to live with her father in Florence and fixing her life. A quick-tempered athlete who is a whiz at fixing cars but struggles with school, Addie is a welcome departure from the bookish, quirky characters who are so often the heroines of teen romances. The only weakness of this fast-paced, witty read is its lack of diversity: The characters are uniformly white, straight, middle-class, and nondisabled. A skillfully rendered exploration of heartbreak, friendship, family, and destiny—and a quick and enjoyable read. There was a problem adding your email address. Please try again.
