She later clarified that she doesn't control the publishing schedule, only her writing schedule. When it's published doesn't depend on me, though--pub dates are decided by the publisher, and depend on all kinds of arcane stuff, including availability of press-time, paper, warehouse space and shipping.

Diana Gabaldon, the writer and creator of Outlander , is working on a new book centered around the time-traveling Master Raymond and his backstory. This could certainly lead to a new full spin-off series for the Outlander world. Outlander was started in and is known as Cross Stitch in the United Kingdom. Claire is a time traveler, and travels from the midth century into the world of 18thcentury Scotland. Claire spends three years in Scotland, and marries Jamie Fraser. She returns to her first husband and raises her daughter, Brianna. She will eventually return to the 18th century and to her long-lost love.

Jamie and Claire have a lot more love stories to tell. Gabaldon has confirmed that the ninth installment of her Outlander book series will be coming out this year. Then a fan asked the novelist on Twitter about some details of her new book particularly the ages of lead characters Jamie and Claire. It looks like Gabaldon has understood by now how passionate Outlander fans are hence, she happily replied to a fan query. Many fans are pleased to know that the couple will really grow old together despite the challenges that are expected to come their way in between Drums of Autumn and Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone. Earlier this month, Gabaldon also explained on her official website, the origin of the ninth book title.
