A great idea that I think your students would really get into would be to create your own american ninja warrior obstacle course for your Physed classes. Use the just keep it simple KISS principle and think about what equipment your PE department has on hand that you could use, with a few possible additions. Below are some ideas you could use in building your course. Once your course is built, you should have a few test runs on it before turning your students loose on it. If it is too difficult for you, it is probably going to be too difficult for your students.

The Salmon Ladder is a grueling climbing obstacle. To overcome it, you must ascend to the top of a pair of vertical posts by hopping a free-moving bar up one rung at a time. The structure is designed to push your explosive power, upper body strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance to the limit. To build a salmon ladder, start by digging holes to set the support beams. As you insert the posts, use a level to make sure they sit evenly and stretch a separate board across them to test if they sit flush.
