Case For Life - Only One Issue

By Scott Klusendorf. Pro-life Christians, take heart: the pro-life message can compete in the marketplace of ideas-provided Christians properly understand and articulate that message. Too many Christians do not understand the essential truths of the pro-life position, making it difficult for them to articulate a biblical worldview on issues like abortion, cloning, and embryo research. The Case for Life provides intellectual grounding for the pro-life convictions that most evangelicals hold. Author Scott Klusendorf first simplifies the debate: the sanctity of life is not a morally complex issue.

Hi Luke, I appreciate you posting this review. I was first notified of it on the Facebook group Old Earth Creationists where you posted on it and included a meme of Klusendorf. I saved it because it is so quotable. That meme presents him saying that "science says little about doctrine for example, is the doctrine of the Trinity true? What do you think of this? Would you like to discuss this here or in email?

Most Western democracies have few or no people serving life sentences, yet here in the United States more than , people are sentenced to such prison terms. Marc Mauer and Ashley Nellis of The Sentencing Project argue that there is no practical or moral justification for a sentence longer than twenty years. The book will tie in to a campaign spearheaded by The Sentencing Project and offers a much-needed road map to a more humane criminal justice system. Mauer and Nellis not only build a compelling argument for ending life imprisonment; they also provide strategic public-policy groundwork for enacting a maximum year sentence.
