Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian - Wikipedia

The novel is written in the first-person point of view. Ana is the narrator, telling her story in her own voice as she first meets Christian Grey and then begins a relationship with him. The author also includes in the novel emails between Ana and Christian that allow a little insight into Christian's point of view through his own written word. The first-person point of view is a very intimate point of view that allows the reader to see the entire plot through the eyes of a single character. This point of view is more personal than the third person point of view, allowing the reader to feel almost a singularity with the main character. However, this point of view limits the readers understanding of other characters and events in the novel as the reader can only know and understand what the main character understands.
