Yes, but it can very hard in the beginning. I suggest you start off with immersion or if you have a kindle you can get a dictionary from English to Spanish allowing you look up words without fully interrupting the story. Good luck. Good advice on the Kindle, but just so everyone knows, you can only do this on the original Kindle and the PaperWhite not Kindle fire. I have been considering buying for for a while. If you read, I recommend that you don't stop to look up every word you don't know in the dictionary. Just read over it.

Is it worthwhile to read books by English authors which have been translated into Spanish? I have read that to improve your Spanish you should only read books written originally in Spanish. What do other Spanish learners feel about this? For me, it is worthwhile to read books in Spanish that have been translated from English. Mostly, I think that people should read whatever they like and not try to fit into someone else's preconceived notion of what they should be doing.
