Network Theory - Filters - Tutorialspoint

Network synthesis is a method of designing signal processing filters. It has produced several important classes of filter including the Butterworth filter , the Chebyshev filter and the Elliptic filter. It was originally intended to be applied to the design of passive linear analogue filters but its results can also be applied to implementations in active filters and digital filters. The essence of the method is to obtain the component values of the filter from a given rational function representing the desired transfer function. The method can be viewed as the inverse problem of network analysis.

It seems that you're in Germany. We have a dedicated site for Germany. This textbook explains the fundamentals of electric circuits and uses the transfer function as a tool to analyze circuits, systems, and filters. The author avoids the Fourier transform and three phase circuits, since these topics are often not taught in circuits courses. General transfer functions for low pass, high pass, band pass and band reject filters are demonstrated, with first order and higher order filters explained in plain language. 1. performance compared to passive LC or active RC filters. Filters are generally linear circuits that can be represented as a two-port network: The filter transfer.

  2. Those are the electric circuits or networks having passive elements like resistor, inductor and capacitor. Low pass filter as the name suggests, it allows (passes) only low frequency components. The s-domain circuit diagram (network) of Low Pass Filter is shown in the following.
