Great Lakes Book and Supply, located at Clark Street in Big Rapids, recently announced it will be looking to empty its shelves and close. I've loved everything I've done here for 30 years. Anderson began working at the bookstore when the building was split into a few smaller stores. A student could bring in their school schedule and Anderson and other employees would begin their search for the tomes, even climbing the shelves to retrieve some books. Approximately 20 years ago, Anderson said crews came to the store to take down the walls dividing the building into different shops. Life changes.
