My opinion about the other books in the series aren't nearly as high, unfortunately, but Maas did such a great job of portraying love, acceptance, and does a remarkable job of compassionately depicting a character with PTSD. Velaris sounds like an amazing city, and makes me want to go to Europe and explore some of the amazing locations there as well. The world building is beautifully done and 3 years later I'm still reading this book on a daily basis. I loved how this title dealt with a healthy and normal response to a relationship that became abusive over time. Oh my gosh!
