Charlie and the chocolate factory sequel book

There are two major complaints currently being directed at most major Hollywood studios; they are making too many reboots and too many sequels, showing a lack of pure imagination. Instead of distancing themselves from such critiques, Warner Bros. David Heyman is teaming up once again with Warner Bros. Charlie Bucket will likely not feature in the film but - if the film is a hit - the character will likely appear in future sequels. The actor died earlier this year, on the 29 August, with some fans outraged Warner Bros. Nobody will ever be as great as Gene Wilder.

Knopf, Inc. Unlike the preceding book, no film adaptation of this book has ever been made. Dahl had intended to write a third book in the series Charlie and the White House but never finished it. The book begins where Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ends: Willy Wonka has just given Charlie the ownership of his factory, and they crash through the roof of Charlie's house with a flying elevator to inform his family of the good news. Charlie's grandparents except Grandpa Joe, who had already gotten out of the bed are nervous about going inside the travelling elevator, and after twenty years in bed, refuse to get up. The bed is thus pushed into the elevator, which then takes off. At a critical moment during the return trip to the factory, a panicking Josephine grabs Wonka away from the controls, which results in the elevator, along with its occupants, being sent into an Earth orbit.

The story features the adventures of young Charlie Bucket inside the chocolate factory of eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka. Knopf, Inc. Dahl had also planned to write a third book in the series but never finished it.
