If you like reading, then it is likely you read several books at a time. Finding out where you are with which book requires management! Bookmarks are great to find the last page that you read. But who has enough of them?

Hands up if you or your littles are participating in a local summer reading program! Anyway, I think reading is more fun with a fun bookmark, so I designed these summer fun reading bookmarks. All you need is the aforementioned foam, popsicle sticks, and glue, along with some paint, scissors, this hand-dandy template , and something to trace with. To make the bookmarks, start by painting your sticks. I use a pen for tracing. Et voila! Popsicle Stick Bracelets.
The library is one of our favorite summer time outings around here. We usually leave with so many books that we can hardly carry all of them! The only problem with checking out so many books on a weekly basis is that we have to keep track of and return that many books. These monster bookmarks are perfect for little readers. Even if you have a kiddo that struggles with loving to read, making one of these silly bookmarks might just be the thing to encourage some reading!
